“This one step: choosing a goal and sticking to it, changes everything.” – Scott Reed
Hey Beautiful People!
Where to begin….Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, happy birthday to y’all that celebrated your birthdays while we were away and congratulations to those that had adorable babies, got married/cuffed, graduated e.t.c e.t.c …you get where we’re going with this right? Basically we’ve missed you too!!!!
First post of the year yaaaay! Last year was definitely a roller coaster but we thank God that we made it to the new and we’re looking forward to what it has in store. Not going to lie, this may sound a bit corny but we made a few resolutions of our own (as is tradition lol) when the year started…..only this time we’re planning to follow through… but that’s a story for another post.
Many times in our lives when we’re about/wish to make a drastic change for the better or take a great risk two questions come to mind; the first being “can I?” and the second “should I?” The first probably pops up because of the fear of the unknown and the second is most likely a “if it aint broke…don’t fix it” thing. The second phase is the reactions people around you have, when they get to know about what you’re about to do or are in the process of doing, which may influence your answers to these questions. These reactions can be positive or negative so lets talk about the negative shall we?
Most of the time when people react negatively it manifests by them trying to talk you out of it or constantly reminding you that what you’re planning is impossible…but …it’s not really their fault. They react this way simply because they may not have the balls to do what you’re about to. So because they conceded to defeat without ever trying, the thought that you may actually succeed subconsciously terrifies them and they begin to get uncomfortable. As a result they begin to plant the seed of doubt in you.
The thing you have to remember is, just because it seems impossible TO THEM doesn’t make it impossible FOR YOU. They’re just not about that life honey! So if you believe you can, you will and that’s that.
Stay woke to the fact that you have the ability to inspire others in unimaginable ways and you cant take that lightly. Just a little food for thought.
That being said, have a kick ass weekend gang!
